1. A method for the production of conjugated linoleic acids is disclosed, whereby (a) low-weight alkyl esters of linoleic acid are isomerised in the presence of alkali alcoholates (b) the thus conjugated low weight alkyl esters of linoleic acid are saponified with water in the presence of alkaline liquor and (c) the saponified product is neutralised with phosphoric acid.
